Security
Your venue's data, secure and always available
Behind the scenes, we employ the best tech to protect your data and ensure our app always runs seamlessly.
Encryption
All data over the wire is encrypted by SSL TLS 1.3. Both between the client and our application server and our application server and the database. It is also encrypted at rest.
99.9% Uptime
With our exceptional uptime and reliable servers, our clients enjoy an uninterrupted and stable experience. We know that event management is time-sensitive and venues are busy places. That's why we invest in best-in-class technology to ensure Sonas runs smoothly without frustrating disruptions.
Regular Backups
Your data is backed up automatically by MongoDB Atlas, the managed cloud database Sonas runs on. A snapshot is taken several times a day, so a backup is never more than a few hours behind your live data, and daily, weekly and monthly snapshots are kept going back a full year. Every snapshot is encrypted and stored apart from the live database, with copies across several separate data centres, so your bookings, payments and planning stay safe even if one data centre has a problem.
Two Factor Authentication
All couples & staff will be notified by email when a new device is detected on login. Staff users will need to click a link to verify the new device before it can access Sonas.
Single Sign On
Sonas supports Single Sign On (SSO) for all users. If you currently use Microsoft 365 to manage your company you can take advantage of this and allow your staff to access Sonas with their Microsoft credentials. You and your customers can also use your Personal Microsoft accounts to log in, thereby eliminating the need for a separate Sonas password. We will add more providers in the future.
